Did you know?A little history

In South Asia, the mango tree has been cultivated for over four thousand years, as much for its fruit as for the properties of its pit.

Long considered a by-product of fresh mango production, the pit revealed in the 1990s a butter rich in unsaponifiables, with properties comparable to shea butter but a more melting texture and a more neutral scent1.

Yon-Ka uses it in its most technical formulas, where comfort and nourishment must stay discreet.

General useA butter that melts, not sticks

What sets mango butter apart from other plant butters is its melting point, very close to skin temperature. Solid in the jar, it turns liquid at the touch of a finger and absorbs without leaving a lingering greasy film1.

Mango or shea butter? Both are nourishing and rich in unsaponifiables, but mango butter is lighter and more melting: ideal for delicate areas like the eye contour, while shea suits rich face and body textures better.
